In winter 2009, after pooling their dorm room demos, old friends Matt, Adam and Casey (all 2010) holed up in Los Angeles to make their first recordings as a band. Treating each song individually, the band reinterpreted Adam and Matt’s original malarial folk into truly compelling music. While eating a box of Trix, they found three green rings that miraculously fit together and immediately knew that they had to get serious and get signed! So they took their Big Star-ish, Radiohead-esque, Television-ness to onethirtybpm: a match made in heaven.
