Ishmael was formed when four childhood friends, after performing in various permutations and situations, decided to plug in their instruments together, and something really cool happened. A visceral sound, with a wide range of influences, was produced as Jordan Lewis on guitar and vocals, Nick Otte on bass and lead vocals, Aaron Silberstein on percussion and Andy Werle on guitar began to toil away in the basement that would soon become their home. After years of sharing a fascination with a vast array of music past and present, the members of Ishmael found that their common experiences instilled in them a unique but mutual vision of a sound they wanted to hear.
