Thursday 10/10

Aural Wes (re)Launch Party feat. Trillion Dollar Boys Club // LoRise E4 // 10 PM

A bumpin’ DJ set inside a lo-rise? Who could say no!

Friday 10/11

Archie Pelago, Rewrote, and Watson Frick // Eclectic // 10:30 PM

Come dance to the music of Archie Pelago, a “production and live performance trio” that plays improvised jazz /classical inspired electronic music. Before your very eyes, the cello, saxophone, and trumpet players will transform into DJ’s/Producers and then, before you know it, they’ll be instrumentalists again. Or maybe you’ll be too busy twerking to notice. This show promises to be one of the coolest of the year – don’t miss it.

Turn Up vol. 3 feat. We Have Sex Boys // WestCo Cafe // 10 PM

The WestCo café is raving again, so grab your crew and a fistful of condoms, and hit the dance floor for a DJ showcase.

Grand Cousin // Earth House // 9:30 PM

The cool, controlled, and acclaimed rock band with an inimitable social media presence, Grand Cousin, is playing their first show of the year. This campus staple “Hates People” (zing), but would love to see you turnt up at Eart Yurt for what’s sure to be a raucous good time.

Skybars, Novelty Daughter, and Chef // 200 Church // 10 PM

Soul hop/funk stylists Sky Bars are hosting a party at 200 Church, and it won’t disappoint. This eight-piece group has the fattest, most groovy sound of anyone on campus, so be sure to check it out.

Saturday 10/12

The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die // Eclectic // 10 PM

This critically acclaimed emo revival band may be the most unique act to come through campus all semester. The ten-piece group plays music that will BRING you right back to you’re the back to sitting by yourself on the school bus listening to sonified angst. If that last sentence didn’t get you psyched, then check out their music and you might change your mind. Come through.

Music on Miles with Trio Decalé // 29 Miles Ave // 1 PM

An afternoon music festival featuring a ton of awesome Wesleyan acts, including Molly Rocket and The Crooks, and headliners Let's Party Hats! Hats! Hats!

Pyka, Weald, Iron Hand, Repellers // Music House // 10 PM

Pyka, by far the best Grind Core band on campus, will make you feel like an ear with legs living inside of an industrial factory of noise punk. Let’s hope the rest of the bands playing are just as good.

Pink 182 // DKE // 11 PM

Blink cover band at DKE? Better wear your mouth guard, this show is gonna be fucking rowdy and awesome.

All Weekend

Navaratri Festival // Center for the Arts // Thursday through Sunday

One of the coolest things about Wes is the amazing world music department, and one aspect of it will be on display this weekend at the annual Navaratri festival. Go check out some of the premiere South Indian musicians in the world perform for super cheap. These concerts all take place before party o’clock, so head over to the box office asap!
