Cornelius+ // "right now"

"right now" is the newest track from Wesleyan rapper Derrick Holman ('16). Dropped just in time for Valentine's Day, it features Holman, alias Cornelius+, melodically rapping over a tight beat replete with booming bass, guitar riffs, and an undercurrent of synth keys. His bars don't disappoint, as Cornelius+ flows about seizing the moment and indulging with somebody special over the highly danceable instrumental. During the last chorus, the already reverb-laden vocal track goes through a few interesting filters as the beat switches up to a more club-friendly feel, reminding us to get up and dance "right now, right now." Is this track a taste of what's to come on Holman's first EP set to drop this Spring? Let's hope so.
