Fall Break is coming up soon, but before you start packing up, be sure to check out some amazing music happening this weekend! From avant-garde jazz to indie rock to punk/hardcore, there's something here for everyone.

There are gonna be on-campus bands, off-campus bands, and alums - so many alums it's basically homecoming! Oh my!

Nat Baldwin // Liederkreis // Falzone

Earth House // Thursday 8:00 PM

Facebook Event

Nat Baldwin is the bassist of acclaimed indie rock band The Dirty Projectors. He has also contributed double bass talent to albums like Vampire Weekend's Contra and Grizzly Bear's Shields. His 2014 album, In the Hollows, cleverly incorporates orchestral instruments into an indie songwriter context, producing a very interesting, unique, and exquisite final result.

Liederkreis is the project of Brooklyn composer Judith Berkson, consisting of electroacoustic compositions inspired by Asmus Tietchens, Kluster, Smers, and Robert Schumann.

Yer Trash // The Purple Windsounds // Barbara Shop

Art House // Friday 9:30 PM

Facebook Event

Yer Trash returns to Wesleyan right before the start of their fall tour with Girltype Behaviors. Reaching towards punk, noise, rap, and whatever else is in the dumpster, they consistently bring radical sounds/ideas to their hurricane force performances. We have missed them dearly (@ Ryan Been '17).

The Purple Windsounds is an apocalyptic noise-pop band that uses electronic synthesized sounds, along with acoustic instrumentation, to create upbeat songs about love, loss, and the end of the world. Solar, solar...

Eclectic Presents: Rhys Langston

X House // Saturday 11:00 PM

Rhys Langston is Rhys Podell ('16), a self-described "Practioner of Floetry" whose heady hip-hop dives deep into dizzying wordplay and philosophical musing, his rhymes floating through the jazzy ambiance of inventive, sample-heavy beats. This Wes alum will be performing music from his newest project "Aggressively Ethnically Ambiguous".

Featuring performances by K. Solar and Zeno!
