Folk Night with Poor Remy, Sea Sick, Molly Balsam // Art House // 9:30 PM

Queens-via-Ohio folk band Poor Remy are coming Friday night to give you a dose of their self-proclaimed "pure folk". Get ready to hear these guys yell about their feelings, but don't worry; their website reassures that "there's room for you". Ripping banjo-core band Sea Sick will be opening the show along with crooner Molly Balsam. More info here.

Lunch Cult, Worms, Show Me The Body // WestCo Cafe // 10 PM

Maine avant-tard weirdos Lunch Cult make their triumphant return to the WestCo Cafe! Featuring short-shorts-wearing Luke MacDonald '17, these guys ripped it up when they came last year. If you're lucky, they'll open with a touching rendition of Rhianna's smash hit "Stay"! Western Mass rockers Worms and spooky New York band Show Me The Body will be opening. More info here.

Thread Count, FXWRK // Earth House // 10 PM

There's a new soul / RnB / rap band! Go see 'em with Coral "FXWRK" Foxworth at Earth House this weekend. More info here.

Limbs Bin, Crazed, LPHHH, Dead Lion, Sodomized by Angels // BuHo // 10 PM

Loud LOUD musi at Buho! Groovy sludge favorites Let's Party Hats! Hats! Hats! are fresh off a neat music video release, so go see 'em with some noisy New England touring bands, Limb's Bin and Crazed, as well as Wes bands Dead Lion and Sodomized by Angels. More info here.

Saturday

Grand Cousin, The New School, Five Guys // Psi U // 9:30 PM

Sensitive poppers Grand Cousin and groovy hep cats The New School come to Psi U featuring the much-awaited debut of FIVE GUYS, the booze soaked rock n' rollers that your dad hates and your mom swoons for. More info here.

Hard Nips, A Deer A Horse, Novelty Daughter // Eclectic // 10 PM

WESU presents Hard Nips, a rad Japanese lady band from Brooklyn-via-Nippon. Expect lots of yelling, lots of riffs, and, if their website is accurate, "sex, sushi, and rock n' roll!" Opening will be New York garage band A Deer A Horse and Wesleyan's own Novelty Daughter. More info here.

Loone, Anthony Savino, Pyka, Faceplant // Art House // 10 PM

Is the coming winter starting to get the best of you? Been listening to a lot of Elliott Smith lately? Then be sure to catch Loone at Art House this Saturday, a Rhode Island band who play beautifully melancholic, frosty folk music. Massachusetts folky singer-songwriter Anthony Savino will be playing as well, along with hardcore staples Pyka and pop punk ladies Faceplant. More info here.
