Scary Drugs hail from Denver and make sweet, jangly guitar pop. Guitars and vocals hula hoop in melodic fuzz. Their album “Camp Complain” boasts some serious surf vibes with flavors of fuzzed-out math rock. Sometimes they swing it, sometimes they drive it, sometimes they chop it. It's a rock and roll mélange where sunny vibes prevail. What a blast!
MOM is wondering why you never talk about your classes and if you’re eating your vegetables. Come check in and let her know you’re doing okay while listening to sweet funky rock by Ben ('18), Sam ('18), and Jonah ('17).

Level 2 is a band from Seattle featuring Wesleyan’s very own Janak Preston (‘19). The group’s vocals have a soulful spin (dare we say reminiscent of Unknown Mortal Orchestra?) while also bringing some of the best psychedelic production elements of The Dirty Projectors and Flying Lotus. They’re definitely worth coming to see, and be absolutely sure to check out their new song “Dream Funk”. They sure don’t make 'em like this anymore.
If you’re not already familiar with The Good Lonely, then you should probably come see them perform this weekend. Featuring Janak Preston (‘19), Jacob Beilenson (‘19), and Bram Wollowitz (‘19), they embody everything you’d ever need or want to know about the music scene on campus (in a positive sense).
The Purple Windsounds spend their days lounging in the dumpsters behind Olin. Smoking cigarettes and playing with their puppets, you’d be lucky to approach them without getting barraged by Tarot cards or having smoke blown in your face. Well, if you’ve been wondering what these windchime wielding menaces get up to when the sun goes down, then come check them out this Friday at 9 to see what’s really going on. Don’t forget your rain slickers! (you’ve been warned!!)!

Guerilla Toss are a New York based, ex-Boston funk punk team that glows spooky green. They're definitely radioactive, and will blast you with bludgeoning grooves and prickly melodies until you dance yourself into a happy but thoroughly denatured life as a blob. You will recover, but you'll never forget.
Lunch Cult are three munchers who descend onto stages around the East Coast on a radiant beam of gangly garbage prog. Portland, Maine is their home. Expect turtleneck-ed theatricality and serious punk chops. Luke "Luke" MacDonald ('17) and his extra-Wes cronies Jake Lichter and Nicholas Thompson-Brown are the human bodies this band inhabits when they're not getting you way too high in math class.
Wydyde is a Northampton fuzz-rock power duo. Angular stoner grooves drive their tender folk explorations into shearing explosions of noise. Guitar and drums grapple through unhinged rock riffage. This band will suck you up and spit you out screaming "WHY?"
They'll answer "WYDYDE you ask?"
and you'll respond, "because that, dude, was great."
Pupppy

Pupppy are a four-piece indie pop/rock band from New York that’s messy silly, fun, and kinda sticky. With thick, anthemic guitar riffs and painterly lyrics, their songs give off feelings of hanging out in the summer with friends, maybe getting too sunburnt, and eating too much ice cream, but still having a great time.
Witch Coast is a supernatural lo-fi punk band from Washington DC with a love for weed and zombies.
Glueboy's stripped-down, strung-out, and raucously sing-a-long sound drove up from Westchester New York just for you. And yes! They drive onwards, powerchords punching pop/cowpunk-inflected indie-rock into your ears.
