KILBOURNE IS THE CLUB GIANT SQUID

KILBOURNE IS THE CLUB GIANT SQUID

I don't know about you but whenever I go to LiveMixtapes.com, I'm there to figure out what Gucci Mane and Chief Keef have been up to since they were last on my radar. Apparently they have a club section now, which they must be doing a pretty good job with because they just released Kilbourne's latest mixtape, "The Club Giant Squid," which features almost 20 minutes of Philly and Jersey Club bangers and collaborations with Cakes Da Killa, Nicky Da B, and others. Ashe Kilbourne '14, who is also a member of Wes hardcore staple Bakshi, is fresh off playing 285 Kent with Dubbel Dutch, playing SXSW, and almost making it to the intramural C league bball championship (Denim Stains). How Ashe finds time make all this music, go to school, and play basketball, one can only wonder. Hit the for jump for a bio, videos, and neat  links.

"The Club Giant Squid" is a metaphor I'm still trying to flesh out. The sounds on the mixtape are HUGE and extend in many directions--Skrillex, K-Pop, etc. That could be it, but you should try to figure it out for yourself by downloading it on Club Tapes.

This is what Ashe has to say about it: Born in Jersey but trained in Philly, DJ Kilbourne of Party Krusherz Entertainment (PKE) is back with 9 tracks of Philly and Jersey Club. On The Club Giant Squid, Skrillex, K-pop, and the Illuminati are blended together into one big ball of unstoppable NrG. Catch ya boi doing it big URL or IRL, staying posi and being a role model for party people everywhere.

We're still working on our YouTube embedding so for now, just follow these links for the teaser and music video.

Also be sure to tweet @ayykilbourne, like on FB, and follow on soundcloud.
