MISSTEPS PRESENTS 6BIT COLLECTIVE

Seeking to bring cutting edge, underground club to the forefront of music culture, MISSTEPS is back with their first show of the semester on Friday October 26th at 10PM. The monthly club-night, FM radio show, and record label run by Guy Fridge and Nicholas Msall welcomes 6BIT Collective, a group of LA-to-NYC forward thinking producers. Since its genesis as the casual bedside project of founder, Max Wortman aka Eliot, 6BIT Collective has come quite a ways in terms of its recognition by a broader audience, now receiving support from the likes of Fools Gold Records, Dazed Digital Magazine, Boiler Room, Resident Advisor, and XLR8R.

The collective consists of a diverse group of individuals who pursue a breadth of varying sounds that range from floor-focused club music to ethereal abstract hip-hop. To date, 6BIT has five releases to its name and future releases include forthcoming efforts from Russian bass-music wunderkind, Phil Gerus, and core members, Future Dollars.

The show is certain to be packed with energy, as Dreams, Future Dollars, Eliot, Wesleyan's own Guy Fridge, Brotherhood Crusade, Oskar Russakis, and Earthly Delight will perform back-to-back DJ sets that will keep the floor moving quickly all night. To supplement the auditory experience, 6BIT's resident visual-mastermind, PXL, who provides the visuals for every Boiler Room show, will project live saturated, glitchy visuals throughout the performance.
